The plasma oscillations excited during the high power electromagnetic impulse propagation along the homogeneous magnetic field in the electron cyclotron resonance regime are investigated. The evaluation of the relative electron density perturbation is derived. It is shown by the numerical simulation that the impulse self-modulation leads to the substational increase of the plasma wave amplitude.
